– SkyTrain closes at 1:30am

Vancouver TransLink refuses to meet customers’ demand for longer service.

TransLink Public relations flak says “it doesn’t make financial sense” for SkyTrain to run any later than it does now.

In other words, customers have no influence when it comes to transit in B.C. Once again the profit motive trumps customer service when it comes to operating hours, number of stations needed, rider comfort, transit employee concerns or a modern fare payment system.

Every decision made by the Liberal appointed Board of Directors of lawyers and bankers is geared to maximize profit, and not to provide value for the taxpayers who paid for the train system in the first place.

Maybe someday VAncouver will grow up… but that won’t happen until we get rid of all the old, white-haired men running this province and TransLink.
